Two Generations of Boot Makers

Established in 1977, Davies Riding Boots was founded by Mr and Mrs Dennis Davies. Years of experience in the shoe industry coupled with a passion for horse-riding inspired the Davies's to begin making their very own custom riding boots from a workshop at home.

Since their inception 36 years ago, Davies Riding Boots has remained a family business. Mr Davies's daughter Elizabeth and her husband Lyndon joined the company in 1989, later taking the reins in 2001 when her father retired.

Handcrafted Leather

Handcrafted Leather Riding Boots, Hunting Boots & Beech Wood Trees

The boot making process begins with a consultation detailing the individual requirements of the client. This is essential so that we can identify the best type of leather and style to suit the individual?s riding discipline.

Next, we take many measurements of the client's feet and legs - this enables us to draw out their patterns. Once patterns are drawn, the lining and outer leather is cut before being sewn together. This is a time consuming process which requires great attention to detail - each piece of leather is checked meticulously to ensure only the very best cuts are used to make the finished article.

To complement our leather riding boots and hunting boots, we also make wooden trees which fit into the boots helping to prolong their life and keep them in perfect shape. Our handcrafted trees are made from beech wood and are an exact replica of the client?s legs and feet.
